help finding window balance

A contractor from Maryland says:
I have a window balance. it has "28D" stamped on it. There is also another stamp that says "UB 28D" I measured and just the metal track measures 28-5/8?? The channel is 1/2"(9/16). I researched and came up with a 15-029 Shoe and a 19-005 winged Channel Top Balance, however i'm open for your expert corrections. Need 2

With this combination of attachments, you could have either a S380-29 or S385-29 channel balance. You'll need to measure as shown below. The Series 380 has a 1" bottom attachment, and the Series 385 has a 1-3/32" attachment. You'll also need a 2840 spring strength option for your balances.

Thank you and let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.

Neither will work. The one I have is only 7/8" deep. Like the 15-029. You don't have a balance with this component as far as I can see. What are my options?

Tom from SWISCO responded:

If that's the case, then we can make the balance for you with the 19-005 top and 15-029 and supply it as a custom order. Can you just confirm the exact length of the metal channel? It should be 29" based on the stamp. I've only ever seen balances in this style end on a full inch or on 1/2" increments. Please double check and let me know.

Either way, we'd be using our 2840 option like Casey mentioned. Two balances with this option can carry 23 through 28 pounds.

I just need you to clear up the length detail. That's very peculiar and I want to be 100% sure. If it is 28-5/8", we will try to come up with a solution.

A contractor from Maryland says:

Thanks Tom. The channel I measured is Bent quite a bit and I'm sure stretched to some due to that stress. That being said I'm sure 28 1/2 inches will be perfect. Is it my understanding that you do see them in half inch increments? Could you get me a price for two of these?

You got it, I'll shoot that over right now. Thanks for considering shopping with us! It means a lot. Please let me know if you need anything else.
