Hi y'all - I am the proud owner of a home built in the 1930s. It's full of surprises. One of the latest is trying to find a replacement for a sliding glass door handle & lock set, photos attached to this post. The interior contains a small ALCOA label followed by the letter G and the serial number SD-10083. I don't need an exact replacement, I would happily buy something that looks even moderately similar to the already installed handle (in fact I would prefer something with a decent keyed lock, because the genius who installed the doors put them in backwards). The trouble I'm having is that the measurements on these handles seem unusual for what's commonly available. The two space between the two mounting screws on the handle are roughly 3.75". The gap in the door for installing the handle is 5.5"H x 1.125"W. The aluminum lining of the sliding door the handle is installed into is 1" wide.
As you can tell I'm far from an expert in this area, but I have been making a lot of DIY purchases since the pandemic & I would much rather spend that money with someone who can help me out from time to time if I need to ask a question, instead of a Home Depot or an Amazon.
Thank you,
Josh
