Hi,

The balance for my window does not work and it looks like it is because this part is busted. I cannot tell the window manufacturer.

Can you find out what this is and get some for me?

Hi Tim,

Given the damage to the shoe, it might be a good idea to examine the balance for any damage. Oftentimes, the shoe breaks it is because the balances were not properly holding the sash weight.

That being said, the shoe you have here appears to be the 15-195B 1-1/4" T-Lock Balance Shoe with an open cam. This is used on the Series 795 Channel Balance.

Should you decide to replace the balance, I'll need to see the attachment at the top of it, how it installs at the top of the window channel, and I'll need to know the length of the channel. Please also include the stamp from the channel; this is used to determine the weight range the balances can support.
