issues with 82-265

Question

Got the 82-265 mortise
lock from Swisco and installed it, but it is impossible to get the hooks to open all the way from either the inside or the outside with key. Are there any adjustments that can be made to make
the latches open more easily, or can it be lubricated to help open them?

Hello,

I've heard of this happening and can usually be resolved by uninstalling and reinstalling the mortise and making sure that the keyway where the thumb latch and key cylinder is at a 45-degree angle as shown in the pictures on our product pages, This problem usually occurs when something isn't lined up correctly during installation.
