I need replacement side load balances for single hung vinyl windows 20 4. I need to know what the four translates to in strength for order.

A stamp of 20-4 usually corresponds to the 2040 option for all our 1/2" wide x 21" long channel balances. Two balances with a 2040 stamp are rated to carry 15 through 23 pounds.

I see you were looking at our S385-20 channel balance, which is only 20" long. You should triple check the length of the metal channel to ensure that this is accurate.
