looking to add exterior lock to existing patio door handle

Hi,
Existing door/handle - sorry can't find a name.
Would like to add a lock to unlock from outside of door. I see you have some parts that will work (82-005), however the lock hardware you pair with that is 1" thick, which will interfere with the screen door... is there any way to get a mortice type lock that won't interfere with the screen door? (I am OK with cutting the metal frame as needed)

Door is 1 3/8 thick
Door frame is 1 3/4" wide
Current centre holes are 4 15/16 to center

The only keyed exterior pull we sell that would work for your door is the 82-306, but I believe this is the one you already pointed out as not being feasible, since it sticks out by 1". Unfortunately, I don't think you'll get anything with more clearance.

The problem is that the key lock itself needs that clearance. The handle has to stick out about that far at minimum or else the cylinder would have nowhere to be seated.

I am sorry for the inconvenience. That is the best option that we can offer you.
