Cant see the model number unless I remove the existing faulty operator.

Thanks for posting. This looks like the 39-239B Awning Operator. We also have a stainless steel version, the 39-239C. Take a look and see what you think. For a new cover and handle, see either the 39-451 or 39-375, depending on the style you prefer.
