muti-point mortise lock

Question

I recently purchased the 82-265 assembly and the latch plate doesn't seem to work what part do I need to make it work the lock fits the door ok just doesn't lock.

Hello there. Sorry to hear of your trouble. If by latch plate you mean the keeper, we've found that sometimes customers need to replace their old keeper with the 82-249 to work with the new mortise lock. Before trying this though, you also might want to try packing out the old keeper with washers--sometimes the issue is just making sure the lock and keeper are close enough to interface properly.
