I think we can supply this balance, yes. However before we go any further I'll need a few more details.

First, this style of balance has a metal clip at the top of the channel, attached to the cord. I need to see that clip to determine if it installs in the window using a screw or if it's a hook.

Next, I need you to measure the width of the bottom "T" shaped pivot shoe and tell me what you get. It should be either 1" wide or 1-1/14" wide.

Lastly, please tell me how many balances in total you needed to purchase.

Hi! Tom
Looks like 1" on the shoe.

I did buy 2 extra shoes and attached is the package they came in.

A metal clip is used on this rather than using screw. I bent this one accidentally so that's why it looks weird??Larry D

I'll buy 2 for now 1 to fix a bad one and 1 for a spare. I have 10 windows that uses the same Balance.

Thank you, these photos are perfect. So, this balance will have to be a custom order due to the fact that you have that hook at the top of the cord. Thankfully these are very routine and we can supply this to you with no issue.

To summarize what we're making, it's going to be our basic S795-28, but with the bottom shoe swapped out for our 1" wide 15-194 and the top clip swapped out for the 15-198 hook. We'll also be using the 28B stamp, based on your original marking. The metal channel on this assembly is 28" long.

I'll email you a purchase link and price quote now for 2 balances made in this configuration. You can use that to place an order on our site.

Last thing to note--I know you only plan on replacing 1 at this time, but we always suggest replacing these in pairs. Balance springs get weaker over the years, so the new balance is going to be stronger than what you have in there now, even if the original balance is undamaged. What this means is that the stronger balance will have to work extra hard to pick up the slack for its partner, which leads to early failure. It's ultimately up to you but I thought I'd give you my two cents, just in case that influences your decision.

All sounds good Tom and thank you for the advice of putting in a pair rather than just one.....Larry
