need pella channel balance

Question

The channel balance broke through the top of the Pella window frame. Window does not stay up. Broken pieces came out of window (image 2850). I tried to remove the sash but both take out clips broke. I was able to remove the broken channel balance from the window (there is a cord still attached inside the frame). The other channel balance (still good?) is still attached to the sash, I am unable to remove this channel balance and unable to take the sash out of the frame.

Number on the channel balance for Pella window is 2630. It is 1/2 inch wide and metal part measures 26 5/8 inches.

I need a new 2630 channel balance. I also need 2 take-out clips (image 2849). If I put in 2 new take-out clips, will I then be able to completely take the sash out?

Hello,

We can certainly supply these balances for you but it will need to be a custom order. To confirm what you need, we'll need to see a photo of the clip attached to the end of the balances pulley cord.

Also, he 16-002 take out clips will help you to remove the sashes. For the top sash guide, I suggest you use the 18-009 top sash guide and trimmed the three thin plastic edges at the top of the guide where it protruded past the main body of the guide. This is a fairly easy process and works perfectly for Milgard non-tilt windows.
