new stud and stud bracket necessary?

A quick learner from VT says:
Your 39-315 picture and dimensions make it look like the right dyad operator to replace the one in the first photo that I uploaded. Are a new stud and stud bracket also necessary?

If so, your 39-546 picture and dimensions make it look like right part to replace the one in the second photo that I uploaded. Do you agree?

Tom from SWISCO responded:

I agree that our 39-546 would work well in your window, but as long as your old stud bracket is in good condition then you can continue to use it. It should be fully compatible with the new style operator.
