not sure what I need

A quick learner from san diego ca says:
I just replace the tilt sash pivot bars but it seems the coil spring is NOT attached to image 6428 so the window is still very heavy and not working properly.

What do I need or do?

Anlin windows.

Hello!

It looks like you need a new coil balance. Take a look and compare our S140 coil balance assemblies to yours and see what you think.

A quick learner from san diego ca says:
my coil balance shows a 5+5+5......What does that mean?

I see there are many options for this part regarding weight. when I click on the 15 pound replacement...the new coil balance only has 2 coils....is that OK?

The numbers stamped on the coil spring assembly represents the calibrated weight they're meant to support. Your "5+5+5" stamp suggests that you'll need the S140-15. If you're unsure, obtain the exact weight of the sash and divide that weight by the number of springs you have in the window. The S140-15 having two coils instead of three won't matter, so long as the spring weights are within a pound of your sash's actual weight.

Let me know if this makes sense or if you had any questions.
