old sliding glass door hardware
This is a very, very old patio glass door. I doubt you'll be able to find this exact handle set anywhere. We may be able to find an exterior handle with key that can work as a substitute, but I'll need a bit more information.
Can you tell me the distance between the installation hole centers? I see you have four holes, so give me the spacing between the two inner holes and then the spacing between the outer holes? Make sure to measure only from the center of each hole.
Hopefully with this information we can find something that can work. I just want to let you know that there is a good chance we may not be able to find anything. This hardware is just so old there's no telling what can work these days.
Outer is 5 and 9/16
Would I completely need to replace the door if nothing works? Haha I know nothing about sliding glass doors!
I don't think we'll need to replace the whole door just yet. Consider something like our 82-005 handle set. This is a "surface mount" handle set. What that means is that it has its own independent mortise lock without any need for it to interact with any mechanism in the door. It has a 4-15/16" hole spacing, so that should match your inner holes, but if not you can always drill new ones. Let me know if you think this will work for you.
This set is both inside and outside.
