It's tough to ID your roller while it's still installed, but one possible replacement option would be our 81-153. Look this over and see how well it compares to your original. I would recommend removing yours before you do the comparison, just to ensure that you don't overlook anything important.

As for materials, no. These rollers are pretty much only made in metal. Patio glass doors tend to be fairly heavy so you don't want to use anything weaker.
