Is there a way to prop the 79-253 open and temporarily prevent it from automatically closing?

my door closure is leaking a fluid, it may need to be replaced, it measures 9 3/4" x 1 5/8". it reseambles #79-253 but in bronze. we have a glass door with a metal frame. can i buy parts for my door closure? how much is this door closure, and shipping?
