pivot lock problem

Hi I went to open my window to clean it. I raised it up and when I dropped it down,it somehow came out of what I think is a pivot lock. I can't seem to snap it back in no matter how hard I have tried. Do I need to replace the whole lock and if so do you have it??

Hello,

We should be able to provide a replacement for your broken pivot shoe but we will need to see the shoe removed from the window, as well as the width and thickness. We've related a video to show you how to remove it and we can go from there. Thank you!

Wow this was hard to get out. The directions video was great followed it to a tee,but still hard to pop out so It broke again....now I am afraid I will break the new one trying to get it in. Liz

We may be able to narrow down a replacement using these photos but we will also need to know the exact width and thickness of the pivot shoe to make sure that whatever we recommend will fit inside your window jamb. Thank you!

Half an inch thick and about 1 inch wide. Does that sound right?? I just need one but I do need it,I can't close the window in fact the window is off completely.

It looks like your pivot shoe has been discontinued by the manufacturer and replaced by our 15-046 pivot shoe. We have pulled up videos to help you and you might also want to purchase a 75-006 charging tool to make attaching and adjusting the spiral balance easier.
