these windows are made by Vetter and have a part which is broken on both sides.
not sure what the name of part is, but a small metal rod at base of window slides into the hole at bottom of the piece. the top hook is broken off (and still visible in window slot, although it is sideways) , but should hook onto a spring above it. these are broken in many windows the windows were purchased in 1997. if pic comes in horizontally oriented, it looks like the left side (hook) is supposed to be the top thank you
