replacement channel balance

Thanks for posting! Our Series 385, and similar channel balances, are a possible replacement options but I'll need to see the bracket connected to the bottom of the spring, to confirm. This bracket connects the spring and the pulley system in the middle of the balance.

Thanks for the additional photos. The S380-18 or the S385-18 should work to replace your balances. The design of our balance does slightly differ, overall, but you'll need to confirm the depth of the shoe to determine the correct fit.

A 1750 stamp will support a sash weighing 17 to 20lbs, but I do encourage double checking the sash weight to confirm it falls in that weight range.

Typically, we find the length of the channel to be 1 digit higher than the stamp number. The length was not given, so I made the assumption based on that knowledge.

That being said, if the length of your metal channel is actually 17", you'll need to purchase that length for the replacements. You'll find them tagged below.

The 1650 stamps on those balances will support 19 to 22lbs. That being said, you will need to weight the sash to confirm if that stamp is the right one. There is a chart below the product descriptions of the balances that list the weight ranges each stamp can support.
