replacement patio door handle

Question

I have this very old sliding door which needs a replacement of the door handle which is secured only from the inside. I would like to replace with one that could be also locked from the outside and inside if possible. I also found a # inside the handle 3.596.984. Thank you for you assistant in this matter.

Hello! It looks like you have a surface-mount type handle. Our 82-005 is a slightly different style but it should work the same way. Let me know what you think. If you wanted an exterior key lock, you can use the 82-005 with our 82-306 pull. These two parts are fully compatible and should allow you to lock your door from the outside.
