my channel balance is 22 inches long and 9/16 wide. It is from an All Weather window that is about 40 years old. Do you make a 22 inch long balance or will the 21 inch work? I am an un-handy homeowner- Help! Thanks Bob
All Weather window channe balance
Hi, Bob. We make our balances in both 21" and 22" versions. Measure the metal channel to choose which you need. As for the balance, it's definitely not the Series 385 balance you were looking at. Check out Series 351 and Series 390, which look closer. Measure your bottom shoe attachment, and choose Series 351 for the 1" shoe, and Series 390 for the 1-1/8" shoe.
Ben: Thanks for your answer to my last question. I believe I have identified what I need. I need the 22 inch channel balance, (part 16-002) with the 1-1/8" shoe (Series 390)and the take out clip. Will the balance come with the Series 390 attached already as well as the part at the other end? The pictures on your website don't exactly match what I have but my part is 40 years old. Assuming I am correct I need to order 6 each of the complete package, including clips since I am anticipating that more of my windows will experience the same problem soon. How shall I proceed? thanks in advance. Bob Belzer
Let me take a step back, Bob. Did you say that the S390-22 doesn't quite match what you need? What differences do you see? You may want to send closer photos, because from a distance, the balances look essentially the same to me.
As for the part, it arrives with the top and bottom riveted on, ready to install. The only other part that's commonly needed with these balances is 16-002, so you want to make sure you have those clips in your window, or else buy some. If the clips in the window are in good shape, you can keep them.
Sure, you can order as many or as few as you want. All orders can be placed directly on our site. When you have the part you want, simply click "Add to Cart," and then click "Checkout" at the top right hand corner of the screen.
Hello again Ben. I am trying to order on the website part S390-22. However the order form requires that I select an "option" and lists several options numbered from 2110 to 2175. I have no idea what these options are and cannot find a definition of them anywhere, but I am required to select one in order to complete my order. Can you help me understand which option to select. Thanks Bob
Bob, the options are defined in the product description on the S390-22. Check out the description below the photo of the item and weigh your window sash.
