right item/color?

I have 3/8" X 16" spiral balance with a end like the s400. Existing looks to be gray tip? Window is about 7 to 10 pounds. See image. I ordered s400 3/8 X 16"Order number is 930159. Should work?

You made the correct purchase: a S400-16 with a red tip, for a sash weight between 6-17 lbs. Let me know if you need more info.

Couldn't get it just right... either too much or not enough. I ended up using one old spiral balance and one new one this worked good.

Tool tip was too long to get in chanel and hook balance bottom hole.. Cut off about 1/4 to 3/8". This worked well. Allowed tool to pick and release balance.
