rollers for sliding glass door

Hi have an 8 ft sliding glass door - we built the house in 1984 it says guardian - and its a single roller - looks much like either your 81-020 or 81-024. perhaps you have more insight. i dont have a picture

Thanks for reaching out to us. I'm afraid we aren't able to offer insight without a photo of the roller in question. Furthermore, guardian isn't the manufacturer of the door. It only pertains to the glass in the door.

We'd be happy to look into this for you but seeing a complete and undamaged roller assembly removed from the door is the only way for us to do so.

Hi I order your part 81-020 and 81-024

My old roller looks almost identical to 81-020 but the width in more like 1 7/16" vs 1 1/2" 0n 81-020

so its just slightly too big to fig into the channel on the door where the roller goes.

Do you have a part that is slightly less the width of 81-020?

Unforutnately, we do not carry a narrower version of the 81-020 roller. We'd be happy to look into this for you but, as Emily mentioned above, we would need to see photos of your original roller uninstalled to determine if we carry a closer match. If the dimensions do not match the parts you already tried, there are likely other subtle differences that are hard to differentiate.
