Hey, Chris. This appears similar to our 15-195, but this kind of hardware doesn't act as a brake, it's just a shoe. If your windows can't stay up, then it's likely because of the balance spring itself. The whole balance may need to be replaced. In this instance, I recommend that you consider our Series 795 channel balance as a possible replacement. What do you think?
