side-mount single mortise latch

Question

I'm looking for a side-mount single mortise latch (and handle) with 3 3/4" center to center mounting screws. I have pictures of what I am looking to replace. Any hope you have something that might work for me? Is there a way to send you the pictures I have?

I tried the 82-005 handle but it does not line up with the mortice in the door frame. I'm happy to drill holes to install a different sized handle, but I would like to avoid needing to cut a new mortise somehow. Attached is a picture of the door/frame with the handle removed.

I don't believe your exact latch is made anymore, unfortunately. My go-to recommendation for this is our 82-005, but I'm shocked to hear it didn't work for you. I don't see anything in particular about your door that would prevent it from working. Can you go into more detail? You said it doesn't line up with the mortise in the door, but it's not meant to work with the mortise in the door. It has its own built in mortise lock that connects to the keeper that comes with the set.
