Thanks for posting. Is the cover the only thing that's damaged? If so, the best replacement would depend on the thickness of your springs. It looks like your pivot shoe resembles our 15-111, but it's hard to tell. If so, I think you could have our 15-150D cover for 1/2" thick Series 160 springs. See what you think

How do I determine the weight of the coil balance I need? The series 160 looks correct, but have no idea which to select. On the coil, I see 20.10.99 and 35" 5.0

Also, do I need 2 coil balances for each side of the window? So, 4 per window? I have everything else in my basket ready to checkout.

Thanks.

You can usually use the stamps on your old springs to confirm the best option. "5.0" looks to be the right one, but the closest we have is our S160-5 for 5.5 pounds of support. Basically, for this kind of balance, you would weigh the sash and divide that weight among all the springs. In your case, it would be the weight of the sash divided by 4. Assuming your springs carry 5 pounds of support, that would imply a sash weight of 20 pounds.

If your sash is 20 pounds, the S160-5 may be too strong (four 5.5 pound springs support a sash of 22 pounds). You may want to weigh your sash to be 100% sure.
