While the Certainteed 15-192 shoe is very similar, we have found too many customers actually find it very difficult to fit into a Simonton window due to slight but crucial differences in the dimensions. Therefore, for these old Simonton coil balance systems we now recommend the 15-259 Pivot Shoe. This shoe should fit your window tracks snugly; but note you'll also need to replace the other components including the coil springs. The video below explains.

Thank you Bob for the information! I came across your answer and I have a follow up question. I have bought in the past 15-192 shoe to replace my Simonton shoe and it was too thick and the original pivot bars didn't fit into the metal cam, so I ended up shaving the shoe and using the old metal cam. Now I see from your answer that I can buy 15-259 shoe and whole new coil balance system which include (Pivot Bar, Coil Support, Pivot Shoe, and Coil Balance).
My question: one window sash weights 11.5 lb, and I see several option for the Series 159 Coil Balance. Do I buy the 5.5 or 6.5 lb Coil Spring?
Thank you,
Danny

Based on your sash weight, I would recommend using one S159-5 coil spring on each side of the window. Thanks for posting and let us know if you have any other questions.
