sliding door handle

Question

the sliding door handle latch has broken off leaving us unable to lock the door. The holes to mount the handle are 5 inches apart. everything I find in stores the holes are 7 inches apart. The hook latch broke off.I can"t find any manufacture info on door but house was built in 1987.
