I have identified your part #81-279 as the rollers in my sliding glass door which has a 1-1/4" dia. wheel. But I have noticed that you recommended your part #81-278, which has a 1-1/2" dia. wheel, to someone as a replacement for the part that has the 1-1/4" wheel. Before I place my order, is there any reason for using the larger wheel?

If you have 1-1/4" diameter wheel, and the housing dimensions match, then we definitely recommend the 81-279.

In response to your recommendation, I ordered 2 patio roller assemblies 1-1/4", your part #81-279 along with 2 recommended Phillips pan 1/4 x 20 ss machine screws, your part #33-104. The machine screws were too short to connect to the roller assemblies and it was necessary to use the old screws that I removed from the door. Luckily , I had not disposed of the old screws. The threads on the new screws were only 3/4" long and needed to be 1". Just thought you should know about this.

When using this type of roller, I have needed anything from 1/4" to 3" screws. It all depends on what the manufacturer designed. The best bet is to unscrew it and check before ordering. Also, opposite ends often use different lengths on the same door.
