balances have disconnected from window

Question

Both of my spring balances have disconnected from one of my windows. As I try to reinstall them I believe I need less tension on the spring. I cannot determine if it is possible to lower the tension on the springs and if so, how. If it is not possible, can I order new spring balances from you 27" ones coded as B for tension with let's say 13 lbs. of tension on each?
