Currently only a finger latch on the inside of the door
This is the second set of photos I am sending as I forgot to mention the current mechanism is 11" center to center & 3/4" wide on the face 1/2" on the back and 1 3/16" deep
PAT #'s stamped on are 5 820 170 and 6 264 252
Client requires a locking latch with a key for entry from the outside.
Sorry I sent two requests for help but figure you will need the extra info.
Cheers !
Tony
Hi Tony, thank you for posting,
Please start by reviewing the style and dimensions of the 82-265 mortise lock to see how it compares to the original.
For a keyed exterior handle. Please review the 82-030A or 82-030B handle sets with a 3-15/16" installation hole spacing from center to center. The different between these two is the placement of the thumb lever. The 82-030A has a centered key lock and thumb lever while the 82-030B has a offset key lock and thumb lever. Unfortunately I cannot confirm from the photo which placement you have.
Please review and let us know what you think!
Thanks so much for the quick response. They will both work, the original has two placement positions for the thumb lever so I can not see that this is an issue ?
Does it matter which one I use ?
Thanks again !
Tony
Hi Tony,
If the door has cutouts for both a centered or offset thumb lever, it should not matter which set is used. Please let me know if you have any additional questions!
