the 81-018 patio door roller set

Question

I ordered and received the 81-018 tandem roller for my sliding glass door, thank you for the expeditious shipment. Only one issue. The roller from what was removed from the door has the mounting tang offset about an 1/8th inch from the body allowing for the body of the roller to be flush with the door frame when mounted. The 81-018 has the tang flush with the body which makes the whole roller protrude beyond the frame. Please advise if you have a roller with the offset tang. Also, please advise on the process to return for credit the (4) 81-018 rollers. Ref order #1320337. Thank you

Thanks for writing in. The roller with the off set mounting brackets that allow the roller housing to go deeper into the frame is no longer available. Now I am not sure, but see if you can notch out the location on the door where the mounting brackets are. Maybe you can "sink" the brackets into the frame just enough to clear the bottom track. Also take a look at the 81-128 roller used on Andersen patio doors along with the video below. See if this could possibly work on your door.
