thermal pane sliding glass door locks, only number is 15050 on the chrome part

This an old Daryl patio handle from back in the 60's. I'm afraid it's no longer available. What I have done in the past was to make up two pieces of aluminum plate to cover the existing hole, then install a surface mounted handle like our 82-005 onto the plate. Would that work for you?
