thick door

Question

I am looking to replace an old slider lock but the door is just shy of 1 1/4" thick so what is available in HD & Lowes does not work with the key lock as parts do not meet inside in center. Does  this lock work in a door that thick?

Thank you for your question. If you have the older style flush type lock handle like the 82-008K they are only made for the 1" thick old style patio door. At one type door manufactures made a thicker "thermal break" type door, but customers are now going with the vinyl type patio doors. Take a look at the surface mounted lock the 82-005 along with the exterior handle with key 82-306. See if this could work on your patio door.
