Currently plastic, with a crown top. Any top sash guides that can provide the function of holding in place channel balances will do.

Top sash guide, to hold in place channel balances for non-tilt windows.

We have one that could work for you. See our 18-094 and let me know what you think. Instead of one elongated screw hole, it has a left and right hole. They should work the same way, though.
