window balance

Part is approx 13" long. Need new assebly, spring is broken. Part in window jamb is frozen in place.

Can you show me clearer pictures of any attachments at either end of the balance, as well as that cord? Also, can you confirm that this was the only balance in the window? From there I think we should be able to help.

There were no attachements except for a spring on the end opposite from the block and tackle. Spring is about 4" long but broke too. I will also need the spring along with the balance.

I believe you have a Pennco tilt window. Does the pivot shoe look like 15-208 and does the balance channel rest on a nylon bushing, our 67-004, in the window track? If so we can make a custom 13" Series 770 channel balance with the 62-105 hook attached to the cord. It will use a stamp option of 13C, for a sash weighing 10 through16 lbs. How many of these balances do you need? From there we can write up a quote for you. For the jamb pivot shoe, stick a flat tip screwdriver in the center metal cam and turn it up to loosen it.
