Thanks for contacting us. Looks like you need a new coil balance system. We sell these components separately, so you only need to replace what's damaged. See our 15-087 pivot shoe, Series 180 coil spring, and 16-024 mounting bracket. We also have the 15-086 secondary housing and 33-072 screw, if you needed them.

Tom, spring S180-7 is too strong. I am not able to lock the housing pivot at any position and have it stay. The weight of the broken sash is 13-lbs. What # spring should I have ordered since #7 is not the correct one for my window?

Hmmm... if your sash is only 13 pounds, two 7 pound springs shouldn't be giving you this kind of issue. That adds up to 14 pounds of support, and in my experience having 1 pound of overflow isn't usually that big of a deal.

I guess the only other option is to go with two 6 pound springs, but if you're struggling with two 7 pound springs then even that might be too strong. I would also triple check your sash weight to be 100% sure.
