window balance

I bought a house and the windows have no markings, neither the part. One window does not stay up. The part that holds the window broke. The part is made out of plastic and it has a part made out of metal that is round and it has a grouve to insert the metal on the window to balance it.

Hello there. Your pivot shoe resembles our 15-192. However, if your window is not from the manufacturer Certainteed, then the 15-192 may not fit your window track without some modification, namely rubbing down the 'aligners' on the body of the shoe. We do have an alternative option however. That would entail using our 15-259 Pivot Shoe, as well as replacing the entire coil system with our Series 159 Coil Balances.
