window balance for discontinued window

I think these windows were made by SNE enterprizes which was sold to weathershield and were discontinued. They were sold by Menards and are about 10 to 15 years old. Can you help me find the window balance to fit. When i take the windows out to clean they snap back and the plastic lock is broken. What am I doing wrong?

We may be able to supply a replacement balance for you, but we need more information. One of the key details here is the knife lock shoe, but yours is too obscured to identify. Would it be possible to see that removed from the track so that we can get a good look at it?

I hope this helps. I'm having trouble getting them out of the tracks . I think the whole track. Comes out, but I'm afraid they will break

The whole jamb liner is meant to be removed in order to slide the balances out from the ends.

Regarding this balance, I do recognize the shoe but it is unfortunately not a design that we're able to supply. This was a generic locking terminal that was discontinued back in 2017 with no alternative made to replace it.

The only product we have that comes close is our Series 751 channel balance. This comes with a 15-014 shoe, but the design is subtly different from your original. It may not seem like a major difference, but I've never once been successful using our 15-014 to replace your old style shoe.

I'm sorry that we can't offer a better option. These just aren't made anymore.
