window balance replacement

Question

Would like to replace window balance with 2730 BSI (sideway) and NC stamped on old balance.  The challenge seems to be finding them with winged plastic ends attached.  The length of the metal part of the balance is 28".  The plastic wings are 23 mm or 29/32" wide (slightly wider than 7/8" but not quite 15/16.  Thanks! Chris

Hello,

With this combination of attachments, you could have either an S380-28 or S385-28 channel balance. You’ll need to measure as shown below. The Series 380 has a 1" bottom attachment, and the Series 385 has a 1-3/32" attachment. You'll also need 2730 spring strength options for your replacement balances.
