window balancer/sash balance

The house was built in 2000 and it is vinyl window. the windwon can't stay open anymore. The window balance is broken and stuck, it needs to be replaced

Thanks for posting. I am afraid these old rod balances are no longer made, but it can be replaced with one of our tilt window channel balances. To know which, please show me the appendage, hook, or shoe at the bottom of the rod. Also confirm the diameter of the spring. We should be able to narrow this down from there.
