window balances

Contractor from Charleston SC

Hello, Im looking to replace these window balances.

They are either silverline or general aluminum windows.

The MGF code on the silver sticker is KC1

One set has G2440 and one set has G3440 stamped on the metal case which I believe should be size and weight of sash. The shoes appear to be in good order.

Thanks

Hi there Ed.

Thank you for reaching out to us. I'm afraid we can't ID your balances from these photos. Can you show us a photo of the shoes they use? How does the balance mount to the top of the window track? We'd also like you to confirm the length of the metal channels.

Emily,
the 3440 balance is 35", the 2440 balance is 25"
They are wedged in the balance cavity and appear to have a screw that keep them up in place.
I have added photos of the shoe and measurements.
Hopefully this will help identify then.

Thanks
Ed

Thank you kindly, Ed! We're familiar with this configuration, but it must be a custom order as it isn't a part of our stock catalog.

We will use the S770 as the base and swap out the terminal clip with the 62-105 hook. Since this Series uses a different rating system, I will need to know the exact weight of each sash. Can you also tell me how many of each you wish to purchase?

Once I have these details, I can draft a price quote.

Emily,

the 3440 sash is 31 lbs
the 2440 sash is 23.2 lbs
also attached is a balance thinkness picture.
I would like to purchase 2 balances for each sash.  Also I noticed 1 of the shoes is damaged today so can you send me 2 shoes as well.
I also need one of the sash "legs". ( not the right term)  the metal part that hooks into the shoe

Thanks so much! I'm going to email you a purchase link for two 35" 35D balances (27 to 32 pounds) and two 25" 25D balances (22 to 25 pounds) with the 62-105 hooks attached, which you can use to place an order on our website.

The 15-105 pivot shoe and 26-241 pivot bar can't be included in the purchase link, so you'll have to add these to your cart separately. Note that your old pivot bar is discontinued, but the 26-241 is our suggested alternative.

Please let us know if you have any questions!
