window channel balance

A home owner from Visalia, California says:
The number on my old channel balance is 25 4 BN Caldwell. The house was built in 1994. I called a local business and they said the new number for my window channel balance is 2540.

Can you help me please.

Hello,

We'd be happy to help but we'll need to see the entire balance, including the top nylon attachment that is not visible in your pictures. The stamp 2540 indicates the spring tension needed to keep the window up but, unfortunately, does not tell us the replacement balance that you need. Thank you!

A home owner from Visalia, California says:
I'm assuming that you need the picture of the inside.

Thanks for the photos. Your balance looks close to both our S380-26 and S385-26. These look exact with the exception of the depth measurement on the bottom balance shoe. The depth of the bottom balance shoe for the Series 380 measures 1" and for the Series 385, it's 1-3/32". You will need to measure the depth of your bottom shoe, like in the diagram below, to determine which balance will work. Whichever one chosen will go with the 2540 option.
