window coil balance

A handy person from Newport, RI says:
vinyl tilt window. Weighs about 8.5 lb. Missing one side of the coil. This is what remained of the other side. Will need to purchase left and right coil balances. I have included drawn measurements.

Hello there!

We don't have a direct replacement for the pivot shoe pictured here but I recommend you consider our 15-192 or 15-259 . The 15-192 is designed to be used with the Series 170 & Series 171 coil springs, and the 15-259 is used with the Series 159 coil springs. When it comes to the 15-192 , you will need to do some adaptation such as shaving down the bumps on the face so it can fit into the window track. Just keep in mind, altered items cannot be returned for a refund.

Then we have the 15-259 . This can works as is and, in my opinion, works better than the original. I've posted a video below that will explain the replacement process and the others parts that are needed for this conversion.

To determine what coil weight options you'll need, weigh your sash on a scale and divide the weight by the total number of coils in the window.
