window does not hold on opening

Hi,
when the window opens, and I try to hold it, it won't stop, just sliding down. I am trying to replace it. Is it only to fix this issue, by the way?

Thanks for posting! Your coil assembly uses the 15-087 Coil Housing Pivot and the Series 180 Coil Balance. You'll need to look for stamp/marking on the coil to determine the correct one.

There is a tutorial below with instructions on selecting the correct coil weight option. It shows a different assembly but the process is the same.

The mounting bracket anchoring the coil in the window track is likely to be the 16-024 or 16-031. Be sure to double check the pivot bars at the bottom of the sash to see if they need to be replaced.
