window latch

Home Owner from Amesbury, Massachusetts

as the bottom is broken off and still in the window sill.  additionally I see both pivot bar 26-040 and a cast aluminum pin similar to 26-400    I dont see a pattern (all top sill are 040  or all 400)   are 040 and 400 interchangeable?

the house is built in 2001 - but there are no branding on any of the windows. I have no idea of hte manufacturer. The first part of the comment above is concerning hte pictures. the window pins is a second question.

Hello,

We'd be happy to look into this for you but we would need to see intact versions of the latch and pivot bar you need uninstalled to compare to our inventory. I'd recommend checking an identical window that uses the same hardware.

As for the pivot bars, the 26-040 and 26-400 are different styles and would not be interchangeable. Seeing an intact part from one of your windows will help us determine if any of our parts might work. See the videos related on this page to assist you. Thank you!

all of the aluminum pins are snapped off.    i dont have a complete image.     as for the latch  the picture are of the installed and broken piece.  I cannot uninstall a latch without breaking another.

I completely understand but we would need to see photos of the parts you need to determine if we carry anything similar. If they are all broken, do your best to show us all the pieces and how they connect.

Thanks for getting back to us. I agree that the 26-400 would be our best match for your pivot bar. The determining factor would be how the backset of the installation holes compare to yours.
