My windows are Alside windows and are only 15 years old. The window will only open 3 inches and then is completely stuck. Looking for a new coil part that will fix it and directions on how to fix it please and thank you.

Thank you for your patience during this busy season. Alside windows have been known to use our 15-177 pivot shoe and Series 152 coil spring, but I can't quite confirm that these parts are what you have. Your balance setup is too obscured by the window frame and sash. Review our specs in each case and compare them to your old hardware to verify.
As for being stuck, that could be for innumerable reasons. Your best bet is to soak the balance in WD-40 and see if that helps loosen it up some. Nine times out of ten that will do it.
