window slide & lock
Thanks
Hello, thank you for posting,
To further review, we will need to see pictures of the coil balance shoe that the coil spring attaches to in the window channel. It should be lower in the channel. From there we can confirm the correct series for the window. Thank you!
Thank you,
Unfortunately we do not recognize this pivot shoe at first sight. We may still be able to assist with an alternative, but would need to see the balance assembly fully removed from the window.
From there we would need written out dimensions of the width and thickness of the pivot shoe along with the thickness of the coil spring. Also provide an image of the pivot bar on the bottom of the window sash that engages with the shoe along with the weight of the window sash. Thank you!
Thanks for getting back to us. It looks like you have the old-style CertainTeed shoe. We don't carry it but we have some options you could consider. The first is the 15-192 pivot shoe which uses the Series 170 and Series 171 springs. Just note you will have to grind down the "bumps" on the front of the face and you may need to reuse the old cam. Keep in mind that modified items cannot be returned for a refund.
The 15-259 pivot shoe is the other option. This part uses the S159 coil springs and we even have a handy tutorial explaining the replacement process. I recommend watching it in full as we go over additional parts needed like the 26-083 pivot bar.
Great, just let us know if you need anything else in the meantime!
