your parts numbered 82-005 and 82-306

I have questions about the part numbers listed.

Part 82-306 appears to be the exterior portion of the 82-005.

Both items appear to be needed to make one surface mounted handle set with keyed lock.

Please confirm so I can order the necessary parts.

Yes, you are correct, both the 82-005 and the 82-306 are a surface mounted handle. The 82-005 is a complete handle set but does not come equipped with a key lock and has more of a flatter outdoor pull. The 82-306 is a single outer pull that allows the handle set to be converted to a handle with a keyed lock.
