Product Description

This 2-point lock and keeper is used on wood and vinyl gliding patio doors; zinc plated steel; mortise installation; 9-7/8" hole centers; installation fasteners are included. Features an anti-slam button, a mishandling device, assures that the door is shut before the lock can be actuated. This feature prevents potential damage to the locking bolts by not allowing the latch bolts to be extended unless the door is closed against the frame. This is a genuine AmesburyTruth sliding glass door lock.

Do I need the anti-slam button?

My lock matches the 82-239 but does not have the anti-slam button. Do you have another lock without the button? Or can I drill a hole in the face-plate?
