I see you have a 15-180 Coil Balance Shoe. This is usually used with the Series 190 coil balance. If you had a #6 and a #7 coil on each side of your window then you'll want to order S190-640 and S190-740 to replace them. If you need to replace the support hardware as well, please see Balance Bushing, 15-182 and Double Support Detent Clip, 15-181

which one goes on top - #6 or #7 or does it matter?

Personally, I would use the S190-740 coil spring for the bottom and the S190-640 coil for the top.
